'No Runway 3' Event - 7th June 2003

A march and rally along the proposed route of the 3rd runway at Heathrow will take place on Saturday 7 June. Be there!

The event starts at 11.30 at the Green, Harlington. It will proceed to Harmondsworth where there will be a rally and speeches. Placards will be available and there will be refreshments offered by the village pubs along the way. There will also be a jazz band on the walk. A shuttle mini-bus will take walkers back to the starting point at Harlington from around 2.30.

The starting point is the green at Harlington, which is opposite the Baptist church. There will be signs up around the area. Click on sketch opposite to see a larger map.

 

 

Public Transport

Public Transport to and from Harlington is quite good. Buses 90, 140 and H98 run along Harlington High St past the green. Other buses go along the Bath Road, about ½ mile from the green:

  • 90 : Hatton Cross station - Harlington Corner - the green, Harlington - Hayes & Harlington Station
  • 140 : Heathrow Central and Terminals 1,2,3 station - Harlington Corner - the green, Harlington - Hayes & Harlington Station
  • H98 : Hounslow West station - Harlington Corner - the green, Harlington - Hayes & Harlington Station
  • 285 : Heathrow Central and Terminals 1,2,3 station - Harlington Corner - Hatton Cross Station
  • 222 : Hounslow West station - Harlington Corner - Bath Road
  • 81 : Hounslow West station - Harlington Corner - Bath Road
  • 111 : Bath Road - Harlington Corner - Bath Road
Hatton Cross station is on the Picadilly Line. Hayes & Harlington station is served by Thames Trains, running from Paddington via Ealing Broadway and other stations to Slough and beyond.
